Don't miss your opportunity to safely dispose of any toxic waste you may have around the house.  Saturday, November 7, 2015, is household hazardous waste collection day for the city of Scottsdale, AZ.


 Please bring all hazardous household waste to the Scottsdale North Corporation Yard at 9191 E. San Salvador Drive Scottsdale, AZ 85258, between the hours of 7:30 AM and 2 PM.


Hazardous household waste includes but is not limited to cleaners, automotive oil, paints, and electronics.  These items should not go to a landfill but should be properly disposed of instead.  


However, no bio hazardous material, ammunition, explosives or radioactive material will be accepted.  Please bring Proof of residency in the form of a picture ID with a Scottsdale address or a utility bill.

Learn How to Handle Difficult situations in Your Community


Difficult situations can affect a community in many ways, and community members need to be proactive in preventing the worst of these occurrences.


On November 5, 2015 homeowners and board members in Scottsdale, AZ can attend a free seminar to learn how to properly address issues such as animal hoarding, gun violence and home protection by learning about state law and civil codes.

Check Out the Saturday Farmer's Market in Old Town This Fall


A farmer's market is a great place to get fresh produce and socialize with your neighbors, which is why Old Town will be holding its own farmer's market every Saturday from October 17 to June 11.


The Old Town Farmer's Market will be located at 3806 North Brown Avenue, which is on the southwest corner of First Street and Brown Avenue. It is scheduled to run from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM on every Saturday.


This is the perfect chance to check out all the fresh fruits and organic produce from local farmers or to socialize with members of our community.

Scottsdale Community College invites you to come out and revel in Scottsdale Community College's women's Volleyball Match - 2015. Our ladies are ready to spike those balls over the net with some exciting moves that are guaranteed to get your adrenaline pumping.


Make sure to mark your calendar for October 16, 2015. Spend your Friday night from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm watching the power packed plays our SCC Women deliver. SCCs Volleyball Match Fall -2015 will be held at 9000 East Chaparral Road, Scottsdale, AZ, in PE Gymnasium North with entrance at PE 101 Lobby.


The PE 156 Concession Stand will open during the match. Show your support for these great ladies and Scottsdale Community College by attending Volleyball Match Fall - 2015. Make sure to arrive early for the best seats.

Make Plans to Attend the Artichoke Lecture Series

Mark your calendar for Monday, October 26, 2015, 10:30 am to 11:30 am for the Artichoke Lecture Series. The lecture series is hosted by Social Behavioral Sciences. The Artichoke Lecture Series feature our award winning Scottsdale Community College faculty members presenting on several different topics.


The lecture series is open to students, community members and guests. The series offers both students and the community a wonderful opportunity to explore current community topics and issues as well as a chance to benefit from some great minds sharing their unique experiences and expertise.
