Zona Hotel & Suites, a 431 room hotel and extended stay property in Scottsdale, Arizona will be closing their doors on July 31st, 2014. The news was released on June 20th, 2014, announcing that Zona Hotel & Suites was purchased for $52 million cash by Orange Lake Resorts based out of Kissimmie, FL.

Orange Lake Resorts plans to remodel most of the 27 year old property and rebuild new suites to be sold off individually as timeshares.

Construction will begin after closing on July 31st, 2014 and is slated to take approximately 18 – 24 months. During construction the property will remain closed.

Zona Hotel & Suites is located directly next to the 5 star Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort and many dining, entertainment and shopping options.

All guests at Zona Hotel & Suites must check out by July 31st, 2014 at 10AM. Advance reservations for Zona Hotel & Suites have been notified of their cancellation by Zona Hotel & Suites staff. Those searching for extended stay accommodations should call Scottsdale Park Suites "SPS," a resort-like community in Scottsdale offering one month or longer furnished rentals.
