b2ap3_thumbnail_Civic-Center.pngParents and children ages 0 to 5 are invited to be part of the Child – CC Summer Stay and Play Session on Thursday, July 10, 2014. This event is from 10:00 to 11:00 in the morning at the Civic Center Storytime Room located at 3839 N. Drinkwater Boulevard, Scottsdale, Arizona.

Attending this session will surely let your kids have an educational and creative time together with you. More so, this allows the children to make new friends while exploring toys, doing art activities, and reading books. This activity enhances the child’s fine motor and hand-eye coordination vital in a tiny tot’s life.

There is no need to worry about the supplies as they are all provided.

Civic Center personnel will be handing out number stubs for a participating child’s registration.

Everyone’s invited to attend Camp Dreamtree until Thursday, July 31, 2014. The camp will be open from 10:30 in the morning until 6:30 in the evening at The Gallery® Civic Center Library, 3839 N Drinkwater Boulevard, Scottsdale, Arizona.

On Friday, June 20 from 6:00 to 8:30pm, the campers and their families will get to make Sit-Upons and use it when they gather around the “campfire”. During this time, David Buhl will re-enact the Camp Dreamtree and even sing camp songs. This is a free event and snacks will be provided. RSVP is required and those who want to join need not register.

On Saturday, July 26 from 10:30 to 11:30 in the morning, participants will get to experience the Camp Dreamtree Bird Watching event. Camp Counselor Jamie Chandler and avid birdwatcher (J-Bird) will lead the campers for a morning full of bird-watching, drawing, and identifying at the Camp DreamTree within the Gallery.

The event will be from 7:00 to 9:00 in the evening along the Main Street from Scottsdale Road west to Goldwater Boulevard and on Marshall Way north of the Indian School Road to Fifth Avenue in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Go ahead and celebrate summer together with this cool and hip event. Experience what the restaurants have to offer and what the museums are showcasing. Food trucks will also be available.

Guests will get to ride a trolley and/or horse-drawn carriage for free.

Attendees can bring their own vehicles and park at the many free parking areas scattered across the Scottsdale Arts District and Scottsdale Downtown.

ArtWalkers can marvel at the art lined up in the streets. There’s also some artist demonstrations, special receptions, as well as exhibit openings.

The camp starts at 9:00 in the morning until 3:00 in the afternoon at the Frank Lloyd’s Wright Taliesin West located at 12621 N. Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard, Scottsdale, Arizona.

Participants get to work with water-based ceramic clay and oil based, non-fired clay. Campers can likewise investigate and have a closer look at human and other natural forms. Guests can also develop their observation skills of basic anatomy as well as sculpture of the human figure through daily sculpture.

The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation offers students a living experience of Frank Lloyd Wright’s body of work through their classes, camps, and workshops. Such activities highlight and revolve around the arts and architecture.

Those interested to join need to have prior experience. This camping session is for Grades 7 to 12. Admission is priced at $750.

The aforementioned aquatic centers will all be open for public swim on the said date and time. Grab this chance and just have fun in the water with the whole family while listening to music. Let the kids swim and play as they have fun under the sun. Prepare yourself and your family for a poolside picnic. There will be food vendors on site.

Make this Independence Day a unique one by celebrating it by the beach-front and simply enjoy the water-play features available.

Be reminded that there will be no swim lessons on July 4, 2014 and regular pool admission fees still apply.
