b2ap3_thumbnail_Scottsdale_Scottsdale-Arts-Festival-2014.jpgThe 44th annual Scottsdale Arts Festival is the finest event of its kind in the Southwest. It will be  taking place on March 14 to 16, 2014 at the Scottsdale Center for Performing Arts located at 7380 E. Second Street, Scottsdale, AZ 85260.

 Approximately 190 artists will display their work and compete for awards, including the 13 award winners from the 2013 event.

Features include live performances, gourmet food trucks, wine tastings and family art activities.

This event is hosted by the Scottsdale Cultural Council. The proceeds from the festival will help support the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts.

Arizona’s wonderful springtime weather and glorious scenery added to the park-like setting of the festival attracts more than 40,000 visitors every year.

Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the entrance on the day of the event. Prices are as follows:

·         Single-Day Pass: $8

·         Two-Day Pass: $12

Horse lovers unite and enjoy the exciting competition that is the 2014 Sun Circuit happening on January 27, 2014 to February 2, 2014 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Westworld of Scottsdale 16601 N. Pima Road Scottsdale, AZ 85260

This year’s free event will be featuring some of the nation’s finest Quarter Horses is sure to be the best yet. Hosted by the Arizona Quarter Horse Association the event is complete with lots of shopping for clothes, souvenirs and gifts.

The horses will compete in events such as:reining, working cow, cutting, and roping. You can enjoy a stroll through the barn and meet and greet the lovely four-legged competitors.

b2ap3_thumbnail_Walmart-Northsight-Area-Map.pngA document shredding activity will be held every last Saturday of the month starting January 25, 2014 (Saturday) until May 31, 2014 in Scottsdale. People who want their files shredded can go to the Walmart parking lot at 15355 N. Northsight, Scottsdale, AZ. This event will be from seven until ten in the morning. 

There will be a $3 suggested donation per paper-bag full of materials. Individuals can still bring their paper wastes in boxes but it is recommended to put them in paper-bags. This makes the unloading much easier. 

Any paper that needs to be shredded can be brought onsite, whether it is personal or business documents. It is best that people dispose their important files properly to reduce the risk of potential identity theft when these gets into the wrong hands.

This is a continuing event beginning January 16. People can catch them at the Civic Center Mall which is at 7380 N. 2nd Street in Scottsdale. 

Those who are interested to watch will surely experience the music and culture of Arizona’s original residents through this event. More so, individuals can indulge themselves in unforgettable musical performances and traditional dances. 

Join the fun and tag along family members and friends. Be sure to bring a camera to capture the exciting moments of the event. 

Spectators can watch their performances for free every Thursdays and Saturdays from 12 noon up to one in the afternoon. This event will run until April 8, 2014.

The Waste Management Phoenix Open has a lot to offer to golf enthusiasts as this week-long event is something every member of the family will enjoy. The fun takes place from January 27, 2014 until February 2, 2014 at the TPC Scottsdale located at 17020 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85255.

TPC Scottsdale’s famous 16th hole is one the most unique holes in the entire tour that brings excitement to the spectators as well as the professional participants. Also, the after dark party at the Coors Light Birds Nest is not to be missed featuring a musical guest list filled with new artists every year.

General Admission is priced at $30 and children 17 and under gets in for FREE.
