 Participants will get to learn about Newtown CLT programs, how a typical rehabilitation looks like, how the ground lease works, how to buy a CLT home, knowing one’s eligibility and income requirements, as well as city-specific information such as income, property requirements, and target areas.

All are invited to be part of the Father’s Day celebration happening on Friday, June 19, 2015. The event will be held at 1:00 in the afternoon at the Granite Reef Senior Center, 1700 N. Granite Reef Road, Scottsdale, Arizona.

Attendees will get to celebrate Father’s Day in the sweetest way possible. There will be fun entertainment, sweet dessert table, and delicious snacks.s

All are invited to participate at the Summer Reading program happening on Thursday, June 18, 2015. The event will be held simultaneously all throughout Scottsdale’s Public Library branches up until Sunday, August 2, 2015.

Kids, teens, and adults will be earning one point for every minute they spend reading. Parents of pre-readers (aged zero to four) may register their child online and then stop by the library to learn more about how they can easily participate in the summer reading together with their children. This allows them to get prepped for reading. All ages can earn additional points through their attendance at designated library programs all summer long.

All are requested to join the Stamp Out Hunger Event happening on Saturday, May 9, 2015. The event will be from 12:00 midnight to 11:59 in the evening and will be a citywide event.

Participants are requested to place non-perishable food items near their mailbox on Saturday, May 9. The letter carrier will be picking up and delivering the food to the local food banks.

More than 1,200 branches will be participating in this 23rd annual drive. Last year, about 72.5 million pounds of food was collected and distributed.

This event will help restock Scottsdale’s Vista del Camino food bank through participating in the National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger food drive.

Everyone is requested to participate at the Electronics Recycling Day happening on Saturday, May 2, 2015. The event will be from 7:30 in the morning until 2:00 in the afternoon at the Scottsdale North Corporation yard, 9191 E. San Salvador Drive, Scottsdale, Arizona.

Scottsdale residents are encouraged to recycle unwanted electronic items. Such include computers, printers, telephones, pagers, calculators, stereo equipment, cameras, VHS and DVR recorders, mice, monitors, hard drives, circuit boards, answering machines, cell phones, calculators, televisions, keyboards, and the likes.

Items not accepted are fluorescent light bulbs, compact fluorescent lights, batteries, can openers, microwaves, water heaters, air conditioners, washers and dryers, stoves and ovens, and such.

Recycling electronics will help companies save on thousands of dollars in purchasing raw materials. More so, recycling will also help the earth to be a cleaner and greener place.
