The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) invites everyone to join them in their Parada del Sol Rodeo which will run from February 27, 2014 (Thursday) until March 2, 2014 (Sunday). The event will be at the WestWorld of Scottsdale located at 16601 N. Pima Road.

Guests can expect a number of acts such as steer wrestling, bull riding, barrel racing, and calf roping among others. The events are as follows:

  • Feb. 27 – 7pm Champions Challege

  • Feb. 28 – 7pm Scottsdale Pro Bulls – 45 top PRCA Bull Riders

  • Mar. 1 and 2 –7pm Parada del Sol PRCA Rodeo

The PRCA Champions Challenge that will happen on February 27, 2014 (Thursday) will be nationally televised. Attendees will get to see the top 10 PRCA Cowboys in every event that they will compete in. The past 10 PRCA World Champions are scheduled to compete in this activity. Spectators are also given the chance to get an autograph from the NFR Champions. There will also be a free Rodeo dance to follow to those who have a rodeo ticket.

b2ap3_thumbnail_Cactus-League.pngThe Cactus League invites everyone to their MLB Spring Training which will be held daily at the Scottsdale Stadium & Salt River Fields. It will start on February 26, 2014 (Wednesday) and will end on March 29, 2014 (Saturday).

Fans will get the chance to see the home of the San Francisco Giants. To get to the stadium, visitors will have to drive north the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks play at the Salt River Fields and Talking Sticks. It’s just at the Scottsdale border within the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.

Spring Training baseball has been a tradition for devoted fans dating back to 1947 where there were just two teams: the Cleveland Indians and the New York Giants. Currently, 15 teams train within the Phoenix metropolitan area which has the greatest concentration of professional baseball facilities found anywhere in the U.S.

The event will be at the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall located at 7380 E. 2nd St. in Scottsdale. It will start at 12 noon and will end at 4 in the afternoon.

Grab this chance to witness free afternoon mini-festivals that will take place on the said mall which is just adjacent from the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. Guests will get to enjoy concerts as well as performances carried out by the Valley’s top entertainers. More so, there’s a wide array of arts and crafts for sale.

Children and families can take part in various hands-on activities. They can also join the free docent-guided tours of the sculptures on the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall. This concert will run until the 6th of April.

b2ap3_thumbnail_Scottsdale-Arabian-Horse-Show.pngThe Arabian Horse Association of Arizona is inviting everyone to attend the 59th Annual Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show on February 13 (Thursday) until 23 (Sunday), 2014 at the Westworld of Scottsdale, located at 16601 N. Pima Road. The Horse Show will start at 8:00 in the morning and end at 5:00 in the afternoon. 

Attendees can expect to see about 2,400 horses which will be competing all throughout the 11-day event. People will get to see the future of the breed in the colt and filly classes. Add to that, there will also be the Liberty classes where the horses are able to run free. The Native Costume for horses and riders is also present. 

During the event, there will be many retail vendors selling equestrian art, books, jewelry and clothing.

Everyone is invited to attend the event titled “Neighborhood College – Even You Need an Estate Plan” this coming February 12 (Wednesday), 2014. The seminar will be from 1:00 until 3:00 in the afternoon at the Library – Mustang, Auditorium located at 10101 N. 90th Street in Scottsdale. 

Take this opportunity to attend the aforementioned seminar as it is free of charge. Participants will be able to learn what estate planning is and also how they will be able to accomplish each family/individual’s goals. More so, individuals will get to listen to a lecture on what happens if the person doesn't have any estate plan in place as well as what are the countless options available in determining what is right for one’s preference. 

Examining wills, trusts, plus other estate planning tools are included to complete the basic understanding of estate planning. Attendees are also given the privilege to ask questions at the end of the seminar.
