All are invited to come and participate at the Document Shredding Event on Saturday, November 22, 2014. The event will be from 7:00 to 10:00 in the morning at the Walmart parking lot (FLW & 101), 15355 N Northsight, Scottsdale, Arizona.

Everyone is encouraged to have their documents shredded to avoid being a victim of Identity Theft. This Shred’Em event will help people dispose of their personal or business documents properly. Shredding these important files makes disposing it so much easier. Others would simply crumple such documents but fail to remember that others may still read what is written in the paper.

Cost is $3 which is also a suggested donation per paper bag full of documents. All of the funds gathered will benefit the Shop with a Cop as well as other children’s programs.

The Granite Reef Senior Center requests everyone to join their Thanksgiving Luncheon on Friday, November 21, 2014. The event will be from 12:00 noon until 2:00 in the afternoon at the Granite Reef Senior Center, 1700 North Granite Reef Road, Scottsdale, Arizona.

Attendees will get to celebrate the wonderful things the organization is very much thankful for. There will be delicious food, lively entertainment, as well as great fellowship.

Admission is $5 per person.

The Granite Reef is one of Scottsdale City’s senior centers. It offers many programs, special events, recreational classes, support services, and other opportunities all applicable to senior adults. The Scottsdale Senior Services provides an integrated system of services, opportunities, resources in helping individuals to improve their lives, community, neighborhoods by means of social services and health, recreation, and wellness services.

Everyone is requested to be part of The Journey to Hope: Annual B2H Fundraiser Dinner happening on Thursday, November 20, 2014. The event will be held from 5:30 in the afternoon to 8:30 in the evening at the First Southern Baptist Church of Scottsdale Fellowship Hall, 5230 N Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, Arizona.

Attendees will get to participate at a silent auction and raffle. Dinner, sponsored by Matthew 25 Project, will also be served at 6:30 in the evening. Clowns for Christ will be entertaining the kids during the program.

The Bridge to Hope and their volunteers constantly work to improve the lives as well as reverse the devastating and long-term effects of poverty and homelessness amongst single mothers and their children.

All are invited to participate at the AGA Phoenix Chapter Fraud Risk Management session happening on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 11:30 in the morning until 1:50 in the afternoon. The event will be held at the SkySong  - Room SS1 301 Ingenuity, 1475 North Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, Arizona.

Attendees will get to manage the risk of fraudulent activities through implementation of detection and mitigation techniques in government programs. Planned topics to include are how to get management to take effective anti-fraud action, knowing the core components of an Anti-Fraud Campaign, manage the special challenges of Third-Party Relationship, understanding the special role of auditors and other fraud experts in preventing fraud, and the likes.

The program will be taught by John J. Hall, CPA who is the author of the Anti-Fraud Toolkit and is likewise a professional speaker on management and fraud prevention topics.
