Headed out to the WM Phoenix Open in Scottsdale this year? Get ready for a slightly greater tug on your wallet. Effective this event is an increase in ticket prices from $25 to $30. Some attendees are perturbed about this, while others understand the justification in the price increase. Since golf is a very large part of the Scottsdale lifestyle, your Arizona vacation rental community at Scottsdale Park Suites wants to keep you informed of the latest at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.Arizona Vacation Rental Phoenix Open

There are talks that the raise in ticket price is going to benefit fans in the long run. WM Phoenix Open Tournament Chairman Tom King also speaks of security enhancements for the event. "In light of things like (bombing of) the Boston Marathon, and the fact that our event is 500,000-plus (people) event ... we thought we should put some policies in place," King stated. "If you're doing it the right way, and we're planning it out well in advance, it should be a smooth operation." From what we hear at your premier Arizona vacation rental community, all fans will be treated similar to a NFL game and can expect to be “wanded” upon entry.

At the 18th hole, there are also some improvements to be seen. Ten new cabanas are to be placed there for the fans’ enjoyment. King reports that "It's the first increase in eight years. We took all of that money and we want to invest it back into different things to make it a better experience for the fan." Among these improvements, King comments that there will be a lot of great players out this year as well, such as Lee Westwood making his Waste Management Phoenix Open debut.

Despite all the changes proposed, the event seems to be very close to the same format as it has always been. Whether these modifications will be a major improvement for the fans or not, that is yet to be determined. With defending champion Phil Mickelson being there though, it will still be a great event for sure. As your preferred Arizona vacation rental community in Scottsdale, we are happy to provide you this information. Let’s see what other changes the WM Phoenix Open has in store that they aren’t telling us about!
