Arizona Photographic History
The City of Scottsdale is inviting everyone to the “A Photographic History of Arizona from Prehistory to the Present” event happening on September 25, 2013 at 1:00 in the afternoon at the Granite Reef Senior Center.
Participants will learn all about the history of Arizona from the geological wonders of the Grand Canyon and the Petrified Forest to cutting-edge biotech industries and Native American art galleries.
There will also be stunning landscape photography and historic site images that will introduce attendees to Arizona’s cultural diversity, mining, and the history of water use.
This event is presented by Jim Turner, co-author of the 4th-grade textbook The Arizona Story and the person behind the pictorial history book, Arizona: Celebration of the Grand Canyon State which contains more than 530 images.
