b2ap3_thumbnail_The-Scottsdale-Philharmonic.pngMusic enthusiasts and those who have a passionate sense for the arts are in for a special treat this October 27, 2013 as the Scottsdale Philharmonic Concert offers a free musical presentation at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts.

The Scottsdale Philharmonic Concert is tied with the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts which is an institute dedicated to the organizing of musical and artistic displays of talent for the appreciation of the masses. The concert is simply one of the ways that the center is developing awareness of classical music among the members of the community.

Around 80 musicians are donating their time and talent to performing for free or even at the bare minimal of costs in order to showcase their music to the world. Leading the Scottsdale Philharmonic Concert is conductor and music director Dr. Martin Province.

For this free display, the performing musicians will be devoting 900-hours worth of group rehearsals in order to ensure a seamless and fluid presentation.

b2ap3_thumbnail_Scottsdale-Artwalk.pngWelcome Autumn with a splash of color at the 2nd Annual Fall for the Arts ArtWalk happening on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 in the evening.

Scottsdale ArtWalk is much like a large, easy-going open house for the Scottsdale Arts District located primarily along Main Street and Marshall Way in Scottsdale Downtown. “America’s Original ArtWalk,” this weekly gathering takes place every Thursday evening (year-round, except Thanksgiving) between 7 pm and 9 pm. That’s when member galleries belonging to the Scottsdale Gallery Association (SGA) open their doors to the public and show off the work of the Southwest’s outstanding artists.

Scottsdale ArtWalk is also a great place to “people watch.” Sure, famed artists may be guests at individual gallery receptions, or even demonstrating their work, but the art-walking public itself offers up a wide slice of life, a mix of locals and tourists of all kinds.
