Everyone is invited to be part of the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art’s (SMoCA) Arm Wrestling for Art on Friday, July 25, 2014. The event will start at 7:00 in the evening at the SMoCA located at 7374 East Second Street, Scottsdale, Arizona.
Attendees will get to attend art lessons from the Curator of Contemporary Art Emily Stamey. This will be followed by arm wrestling lessons from Ultimate Body Bootcamp owner and fitness guru Richelle Melde. Finally, guests will get to arm wrestle with their fellow community members and win a prize.
Participants of the arm wrestling activity may go home with a painting by artist James Marshall (a.k.a. Dalek). He recently finished the colourful murals within the Lounge, SMoCa’s retail store and outdoor courtyard.
Tickets are priced at $8 for members and $10 for those purchasing online. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Good N’ Plenty Artist Award, a community-based generated award supporting the projects of Arizona-based art makers.
