The Western is inviting everyone to join their Smokin’ Sundays and Kountry Karaoke that happens every Sunday until April 27, 2014. The event will be taking place at 6830 E 5th Avenue in Scottsdale from 5:00 in the afternoon until 9:00 in the evening.

Chef Rodney Smith, coming from a long tradition of Masters of Barbecue, will be blending his Sicilian and Midwest roots into some of the most authentic and scrumptious barbecues ever made.

Visitors can get an all-you-can-eat BBQ platter for only $20. Included in this platter are smoked jerk chicken, two pork butt sliders, BBQ ribs, pineapple coleslaw plus a beer! There’s also the ½ platter where individuals get to choose from Jamaican jerk chicken or pork spare ribs, grilled and sauced Texas toast, one slider, and pineapple coleslaw.

The doors open at 5:00 pm. The happy hour will be until 7:00 pm and the karaoke starts at 9:00 pm.

Everyone is invited to attend the 36th Annual Scottsdale Culinary Festival happening on April 8, Tuesday, until April 13, 2014, Sunday. The venue will be at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts located at 7380 E. Second Street in Scottsdale.

This culinary festival draws more than 40,000 visitors who want to enjoy scrumptious food and to indulge in festivities. There are fine wines and boutique brews available for purchase.

Visitors can also get to enjoy multi-course meals plus wine-and-chocolate pairings. Others can also pamper themselves in the Great Arizona Picnic.

The Scottsdale League for the Arts is the beneficiary of the festival. The mission of the League is to support artists, arts education, and art programs. As of 2002, the League was able to donate more than $3.8 million to arts organization in Arizona.

The Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain invites everyone to be part of Sundays in Paradise which runs until March 30, 2014, Sunday. The venue is located at 5700 E. McDonald Drive, Paradise Valley in Arizona. Each week, the activity will run from 2:00 in the afternoon until 6:00 in the evening.

Guests will get to enjoy cocktails, small plates, and wine while listening to entertainment coming from top regional and national performers. Food and drinks are served ala carte. A Gourmet Picnic Package is available for $65 which includes admission for two, preferred seating, blanket for the afternoon, bottle of wine, as well as a choice of appetizer.

There is a $5 per person general admission fee and $15 for marquee engagements on March 9 and also March 23.

The aim of the Fine Art Expo is uniting more than 100 nationally celebrated and awarded artists which passionately produce art within the studios. There are paintings in all mediums like ink & pen, assembling mosaics, pastels and pencils, designing and sculpting jewellery, composing mixed media on canvas, and welding to name a few. Guests will surely enjoy the quiet ambiance as they leisurely stroll on paths that flow in the two-acre Sculpture Garden.

The $10 admission fee is for season passes, $8 for seniors and members of the military, while children 12 years old and below can come in for free.

b2ap3_thumbnail_Scottsdale-Giant-Race.pngEveryone is invited to attend the Scottsdale Giant Race which will be happening on Saturday, March 8, 2014. The Scottsdale Stadium located at 7408 E. Osbourne Road in Scottsdale will be the venue from 7:45 until 11:00 in the morning.

The San Francisco Giants, creators of the baseball-themed Giant Race Series, will be carrying out their first Scottsdale Race. This activity will be joining the established San Jose and San Francisco Giant Races and extend the series to be included in a year-round offering kicking off in Scottsdale. It will then continue in San Jose on the 28th of June and culminates in San Francisco on 7th of September.There will be a “Complete Game 9 Kilometer” as well as the “Strike 3 Mile” which finishes on the field at the Scottsdale Stadium, the Giants Spring Training home.

Proceeds from the event will benefit its official non-profit partner, Charro Foundation, which actively fundraises on behalf of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale and the Scottsdale Unified School District.
